Custom Managed Markets e-Courses
The Situation
A top-10 pharmaceutical manufacturer wanted to provide employees with a fundamental understanding of the evolving managed markets environment. They were interested in developing a series of e-learning modules that outlined the managed markets landscape, defined key channels, and provided an in-depth review of Medicare / Medicaid.
The Project
Our training specialists first met with the client to better understand the learning needs of targeted commercial-side employees. The team then drafted a comprehensive course outline, including key learning objectives. We then met with the client to review the proposed outline / learning objectives and incorporated their feedback.
With the outline and learning objectives finalized, we worked with our subject-matter experts to develop a comprehensive transcript. Our team of instructional designers then transformed the content into succinct and easily digestible modules with relevant case studies. Next, we storyboarded the course, developing a course layout, graphics, and illustrations. The draft modules were sent to the client for review. The complete course was then developed and published with animations, high-resolution graphics, interactive elements, and professional voiceover recording.
The Results
The custom, interactive e-learning modules (more than two hours in total duration) were very well received by the client. The modules have been rolled out to the target audience with positive results and have subsequently been incorporated into the client’s on-boarding curriculum for all sales representatives, account managers, and reimbursement specialists. Pleased with the results, the client has hired Pharmaceutical Institute for two additional custom e-learning projects
Managed Markets Training Curriculum Design
The Situation
A top-10 pharmaceutical manufacturer conducted an online survey to better understand the reimbursement training needs of their specialty sales forces. They asked the Pharmaceutical Institute to analyze the data and provide summary recommendations.
The Project
Our education specialists first reviewed the survey to gauge the scope and breadth of the questions (48 in total). The team then compiled and organized the data from the 294 participants that completed the survey. The data was broken out by level, sales force, region, and product. We then analyzed the qualitative and quantitative data independently to identify key trends. Those findings were then combined to uncover additional insights into the overall training needs of the respondents.
The Results
The team summarized the findings in a recommendations report. The report included an executive summary, a detailed analysis section, and a section offering curriculum suggestions to address these training gaps. The report was well received by the client. Pleased with the thoroughness of the report and the targeted training course suggestions, the client has hired Pharmaceutical Institute for three custom e-learning projects.
